Read all operating information in its entirety before use. Failure to follow all operating instructions before using the silencer could result in serious injury or death.
Before installing the silencer on the host firearm,
be sure the firearm is unloaded and the action
is opened so the firearm is visibly clear of any
ammunition. If you are at all unsure as to the proper
procedures to ensure your firearm is unloaded,
please consult your firearm user’s manual/
instructions and/or contact a properly licensed
dealer or the manufacturer or gunsmith of your
firearm.
Your GUS556 will come with soft jaws which will allow you to hold the silencer in a vice. Make sure you clamp over the knurling. This will give you the best grip and the outer wall of the silencer will be supported by the baffles. The soft jaws are really tough so don’t be shy, if you break them email me at smokehillmachine@gmail.com and I will send you another set. The printed soft jaws and the knurling on the silencer help secure it so you do not have to clamp the piss out of the vice.

The 30 ft lbs on the soft jaws is for what ever mount you decide to use needs to be torqued to 30 foot pounds, plus or minus 5 pounds. I personally use a high temp anti-seize on the HUB threads instead of thread locker.

In the pic above I installed a direct thread mount. There are tons of mounting options just make sure your threads are clean and check for alignment after installation. If you do not have an alignment rod I suggest going to your local gun shop or order one online.

This is an example of an alignment rod favoring one side but still being ok to shoot. You can flip the rifle over and see if gravity is affecting the rod.
